Vladimir Shiltsev is a Russian-American accelerator physicist, born on March 14, 1965. He has served as a professor at Northern Illinois University and was a Distinguished Scientist at the Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory from 1996 to 2024. Shiltsev is acclaimed for his work on particle colliders and the invention of electron lenses. He led the Tevatron Collider Run II operation and contributed significantly to accelerator physics and technology. He managed the Tevatron collider department and the Fermilab Accelerator Physics Center from 2001 to 2018 and chaired the American Physical Society's Division of Physics of Beams in 2018.
