Vladimir Dmitrievich Troshin (February 1, 1932 – December 8, 2019) was a prominent Russian physician and an expert in neurology, neurosurgery, and medical genetics. He earned his Doctor of Medical Sciences degree in 1969 and became a professor in 1972. He served as the head of the relevant departments for over 15 years. He was recognized as an Honored Scientist of the Russian Federation in 1995 and was awarded the Nizhny Novgorod Prize twice (2001, 2006).
