Vladimir Veselica (1938-2013) was a Croatian politician and economist, born in Glavice near Sinj. He obtained a PhD in economics from the University of Zagreb. After being removed from his lecturer position in 1972 for supporting the ousted leadership of the League of Communists, he held managerial roles in a construction company. In 1989, he founded the Croatian Democratic Party and was involved in the Parliament and served as a minister without portfolio. He later became a professor at the University of Zagreb until retirement in 2008.
