Vlasios Maras is a Greek gymnast born on March 31, 1983. He gained prominence after being named Best Athlete in Greece for the year 2009. In the 2004 Summer Olympics, he was a strong contender in the men's horizontal bar event but did not reach the finals, finishing 13th in the qualifiers. Maras is a two-time World Champion and a five-time European Champion in his discipline. He also competed in the horizontal bar event at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, where he placed 38th in the qualifiers and did not advance to the finals.
