Voitto Savela (1937-2002) was a conservative Lutheran preacher who served from 1969. He was the editor of Päivämies and Siionin lähetyslehti since 1978, and became the Secretary of the Finnish Union of Peace Societies in 1982, retiring in 2000. Savela was involved in church governance starting in 1992 and was a representative of the Centre Party. He had a background as a primary school teacher and was married to Anna-Maija Kononen, with whom he had 15 children.
