Volodymyr Kryvtsov was a prominent Ukrainian academic and engineer, born on December 12, 1946, in Volchansk, Kharkiv Oblast. He served as the rector of the National Aerospace University named after N.E. Zhukovsky, also known as Kharkiv Aviation Institute (KHAI). He was the head of the Aerospace Engineering Department at the Academy of Engineering Sciences of Ukraine. As a Doctor of Technical Sciences and a professor, Kryvtsov contributed significantly to the field of aerospace technology. He passed away on June 24, 2017, in Kharkiv.
