Vratislav Polesný was a Czech worker and anti-communist resistor. Born on March 30, 1923, in Rataje nad Sázavou, he was involved in the anti-communist movement and was murdered by communist authorities during Operation Bell for his role in planning the Prokeš coup. He was executed in November 1949 at the young age of 26. His bravery in resisting the communist regime has made him a notable figure in Czech history.
