Vyacheslav Kiktenko (born May 1, 1952) is a Soviet and Russian writer. He began studying at the Faculty of Philology at Kazakh State University but did not complete his studies. From 1971 to 1975, he worked in various jobs including electric welder, stage worker, and train conductor. In 1980, he graduated from the M. Gorky Literary Institute, subsequently working at the publishing house 'Zhalyn' as an editor and senior editor. His literary works began to appear in periodicals starting in 1968. He has also translated works of Kazakh poets into Russian.
