Wael Dahdouh is a Palestinian journalist born on April 30, 1970, in Gaza, where he also received his education. He spent most of his life in Gaza and was imprisoned for seven years by Israeli authorities. Dahdouh began his career as a reporter for the Palestinian newspaper Al-Quds and later worked for various media outlets before joining Al Jazeera in 2004. He is known for his continuous coverage of events in Gaza as the channel's main correspondent in the region. His family tragically suffered a loss due to an Israeli airstrike on October 25, 2023.
