Wajeeh Qassim, also known as Adif Karam (Abu Marwan), was a prominent Palestinian diplomat and politician born on February 17, 1938, in Silat al-Dhahr and passed away on January 13, 2022, in Rabat. He was the first ambassador of Palestine to Morocco, serving from 1988 until 2005. Prior to this role, he was the representative of the Palestinian Liberation Organization in Algeria and later became the Director General of the Al-Quds Fund. He was awarded the Grand Cordon of the Wissam Alaouite by King Mohammed VI in 2005 and authored two notable works on Zionism and the identity of Jerusalem.
