Wakanohana Masaru (born January 20, 1971) is a retired Japanese sumo wrestler and the 66th Yokozuna. He is the son of the late Ōzeki Takanohana Kenshi and the brother of 65th Yokozuna Takanohana Kōji. Known as part of the famous Hanada sumo family, he debuted in March 1988. Although he achieved the rank of Yokozuna in 1998, he had a less successful career compared to his brother, retiring in 2000 without winning a tournament as Yokozuna due to injuries. Post-sumo, he ventured into entertainment and American football.
