Walid Ahmad Naji Dammaj (March 10, 1973 - August 19, 2022) was a Yemeni novelist born in Al-Jurfat, Ibb Governorate. He grew up in a literary family, graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from Sana'a University, and spent much of his early life immersed in literature. Dammaj wrote poetry, moved on to short stories, and eventually focused on novels. He served as the head of the executive office for Sana'a Capital of Arab Culture 2004 and worked as an executive director, as well as a consultant for various cultural and literary institutions.
