Wálter Céspedes Salazar is a Costa Rican administrator and politician, born on January 17, 1954, in Nicoya. He is currently the mayor of the canton of Matina and is a member of the Partido Unidad Social Cristiana. Céspedes has served as a deputy in the Legislative Assembly of Costa Rica for two terms, from 1998 to 2002 and from 2010 to 2014. He is the son of Arnoldo Céspedes Fernández and Emilce Salazar.
