Walter D. Druen, Jr. (b. January 24, 1927) was a US Air Force lieutenant general, commanding Allied Air Forces Southern Europe from 1981 to 1982. He started his military career in 1944, serving in various capacities, including tours in South Korea and Thailand. Druen flew over 5,000 hours in numerous tactical aircraft and commanded multiple fighter wings. His accolades include several distinguished military decorations. He was promoted to lieutenant general in 1980 and retired in 1982.
