Walter Frederick Ewbank (1918–2014) was an Anglican priest and author renowned for his contributions to the church. Born in Poona, he was educated at Shrewsbury and Balliol College. Ordained in 1947, he served in various ecclesiastical roles at St Martin's, Windermere, and held incumbencies in multiple locations including Ings Casterton and Raughton Head. He became the Archdeacon of Westmorland and Furness from 1971 to 1977 and later of Carlisle until 1984. Ewbank passed away in Carlisle at the age of 96.
