Walter Henry Farquharson is a Canadian clergyman born on May 30, 1936. He served as Moderator of the United Church of Canada from 1990 to 1992. Farquharson was educated at the University of Saskatchewan, obtaining a BA in 1957 and a BD in 1961. After ordination, he furthered his studies in Edinburgh and served as assistant minister. He returned to Canada, ministering in Saltcoats while also teaching high school. Notably, he is a hymn-writer with several hymns published in notable hymnals, making significant contributions to church music.
