Walter J. Curran Jr. is an American radiation oncologist born on April 24, 1951. He specializes in treating malignant brain tumors and locally advanced lung cancer. In 2023, he became the chief of Piedmont Oncology Institute for Piedmont Healthcare after previously serving as the global chief medical officer of GenesisCare. Curran also held the position of executive director at the Winship Cancer Institute of Emory University and was a professor and chairman of the Department of Radiation Oncology at Emory University School of Medicine.
