Walter John Reum (1914–1999) was an American lawyer, politician, and writer. Born in Chicago, he graduated from Austin Community Academy High School, the University of Illinois, and Chicago-Kent College of Law. Admitted to the Illinois bar in 1938, Reum practiced law in Chicago. He married Lucy Reum in 1939 and lived in Oak Park, Illinois. A Republican, he served in the Illinois House of Representatives from 1953 to 1963. Besides his political career, he wrote plays and poems before passing away from cancer.
