Walter A. McEwen (1940-2023) was a Canadian lawyer and politician who served in Prince Edward Island's Legislative Assembly from 1989 to 1996. He was a Liberal Party member and held various ministerial roles, including Minister of Provincial Affairs and Attorney General. Educated at Saint Dunstan's University and Dalhousie University, he began his legal practice in 1973. After his political career, he returned to law and also served on the National Parole Board of Canada. McEwen was recognized as Queen's Counsel in 1986.
