Vanna Buakeva is a distinguished Thai volleyball player, recognized as the first Thai volleyball player to compete in Europe. She has represented the Thailand national volleyball team for 18 years, debuting in 1996 against Malaysia. Buakeva began her career at the school level and competed with various age groups of the national team before playing professionally in Italy. She has won bronze medals at the Asian Championships in 2001 and again in 2007, where she was also awarded for being the 'Best Defender' of the tournament.
