Ward Francis Weaver III is an American convicted murderer serving a life sentence without parole for the sexual assault, rape, attempted murder, and murders of Ashley Pond and Miranda Gaddis in Oregon City, Oregon. Raised in Northern California, he had a troubled upbringing linked to his father's past convictions. Weaver's criminal history includes an assault on teenage girls in 1988. Ashley Pond disappeared in January 2002, followed by Miranda Gaddis in March 2002. Their remains were found on his property in August 2002, leading to his conviction in 2004.
