Warren Fletcher 'Pete' Miller Jr. (born March 17, 1943) is an American nuclear engineer known for his contributions in computational physics, radioactive waste management, transition theory, and reactor design and analysis. He served as the Assistant Secretary for Nuclear Energy under Secretary Steven Chu during the Obama administration in 2009 and 2010, overseeing all programs and activities of the Office of Nuclear Energy. Prior to this, he held senior management positions at Los Alamos National Laboratory and taught at universities including the University of New Mexico and the University of Michigan.
