Wayland Drew (1932–1998) was a Canadian writer from Oshawa, Ontario. He held a BA in English from Victoria College and had a teaching career that began in 1961. Drew published numerous short stories and non-fiction writings and became known for his novel 'The Wabeno Feast' (1973), critiquing industrial civilization. His ecological science fiction trilogy, the Erthring Cycle (1984-1986), and several movie novelizations also contributed to his recognition. Drew's work often reflected his concern for the environment and Canadian landscapes. He passed away in 1998.
