Wesley Korir is a Kenyan long-distance runner, born on November 15, 1982, in Kitale, Trans-Nzoia County. He specializes in road racing and marathons, notably winning the Boston Marathon in 2012 with a time of 2:12:40. Korir also triumphed in the Los Angeles Marathon in 2009 and 2010. In 2011, he secured second place in the Chicago Marathon with a record time of 2:06:15, which he improved by 2 seconds in 2012. In March 2013, he was elected as a member of the Kenyan National Assembly.
