Wiesław Tomasz Lesiuk was a Polish historian and expert on Silesian and German studies. Born on December 11, 1943, in Borysław, he served as an academic teacher and became a professor of humanities. Lesiuk was the director of the Silesian Institute in Opole from 1996 to 2001. He was also the editor-in-chief of the journal 'Studia Śląskie' starting in 1997, contributing significantly to the field of Silesian studies until his passing on November 1, 2003.
