Wijeyadasa Rajapakse is a prominent Sri Lankan lawyer and politician born on March 16, 1959. He served as the Minister of Justice during two terms, first from 2015 to 2017 and again from 2022 to 2024. Rajapakse was the Prime Minister's nominee for the Constitutional Council and held a brief position as the Minister of Education during the 2018 constitutional crisis. Controversially, he was appointed chairman of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party in 2024 and is slated as the party's presidential candidate for upcoming elections.
