Wiley Lee Griggs III, known as 'Diamond Jim', was a notable American Negro league infielder active during the 1940s and 1950s. He hailed from Union Springs, Alabama, and was the younger brother of Acie Griggs, also a Negro leaguer. After serving in the US Army during World War II, Griggs began his career in 1948 with the Birmingham Black Barons, contributing to the team during their run in the Negro World Series. He notably represented the Houston Eagles in the prestigious East–West All-Star Game in 1951.
