William Arbuckle 'Bill' Reid (1933 – 2 September 2015) was a British curriculum theorist known for his contributions to education. He studied at Cambridge University and later taught in high schools before conducting curriculum research at the University of Birmingham. Reid was influential in curriculum studies, serving as European Editor and General Editor for the Journal of Curriculum Studies. He authored numerous articles and books, with a focus on curriculum deliberation. In retirement, he self-published works on archaeology, local history, and creative writing.
