William G. Kaelin Jr. (born 1957) is a prominent American physician, researcher, and professor at Harvard University and the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. He was awarded the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine in 2019 for his groundbreaking work on the oxygen-sensing mechanisms that affect cellular metabolism and other processes.
