William Ian Beardmore Beveridge (1908–2006) was a prominent Australian animal pathologist known for his directorship at the Institute of Animal Pathology at the University of Cambridge. His research extensively covered swine influenza and pneumonia in pigs, as well as influenza in horses. He authored significant works including 'The Art of Scientific Investigation' and contributed to global veterinary health through collaboration with WHO. Beveridge served as chairman of the World Veterinary Association for 18 years and played an essential role in developing cancer classification for domestic animals.
