Guicel 'Willie' Camper was an American giant, born in Memphis, Tennessee, and known for being one of only 23 people in medical history to reach a height of 8 feet. At the time of his death at 18, he was billed at 8 ft 7 in, and wore size 32 shoes. His abnormal growth, attributed to gigantism, began around age nine. Camper was a performer and never stopped growing until his death from a heart attack while performing in 1943. He is recognized as the 4th tallest verified man and the 2nd tallest African-American.
