Wilson Allen Shoffner Sr. (March 28, 1938 – January 3, 2014) was a lieutenant general in the United States Army. He commanded the 3rd Infantry Division and served in various capacities, including during the Vietnam War. Shoffner rose through the ranks from Second Lieutenant to three-star general and held academic credentials from George Washington University. After retiring from the military, he became a vice president at Lockheed Martin. Shoffner's family includes two sons who also pursued military careers, with one retiring as a major general and the other as a colonel.
