Winifred Ellen 'Winnie' Silverthorne was a British pair skater, born on March 3, 1925 in Brighton, England. She competed with her brother Dennis Silverthorne, achieving notable success in the late 1940s. The pair won a silver medal at the 1947 European Figure Skating Championships and ranked fourth at the World Figure Skating Championships the same year. Their athletic prowess continued as they finished fifth at the 1948 Winter Olympics and sixth at that year's World Championships. Silverthorne's contributions to figure skating are remembered even after her passing on March 7, 1998.
