Włodzimierz Markowski was a Polish radio amateur and soldier, known as a participant in the Warsaw Uprising. He was born on December 22, 1922, in Grodzisk Mazowiecki and passed away on May 28, 2009, in the same city. He was a key figure in constructing the first insurgent radio station named 'Burza'. Besides his military contributions, he also distinguished himself as a participant and winner in numerous motorcycle races and car rallies.
