Xiao Hongyan is a former Chinese long-distance runner born on January 26, 1965. She became the national champion in the 10,000-meter run in 1985, setting a Chinese record of 33:11.12 minutes in Nanjing in 1986. She won a bronze medal at the Asian Games in Seoul that same year. In 1987, she became the national champion in the marathon with a time of 2:32:11 hours and later won the Rotterdam Marathon in 1988 with a time of 2:37:46 hours.
