Xu Guofu (December 1914 – August 2004) was a general in the People's Liberation Army and a founding major general of the PLA. He served as the deputy division commander and chief of staff of the 40th Army (now the 40th Group Army) and played a significant role in commanding the Battle of Tiapingli. In 1955, he was awarded the rank of major general in the People's Liberation Army.
