Xurşid Ağayeva was a prominent Azerbaijani musicologist born on April 7, 1906, in Baku. She made significant contributions to Azerbaijani music and culture, becoming the first female musicologist in the country. Throughout her career, she was recognized for her work and was awarded the title of Honored Figure of Arts of the Azerbaijan SSR in 1943. She passed away on December 3, 1953, also in Baku.
