Yeduguri Sandinti Rajasekhara Reddy (YSR) was a prominent Indian politician who served as the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh. Born on July 8, 1949, he was a member of the Indian National Congress and was elected six times to the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly from Pulivendula. He also served multiple terms in the Lok Sabha. Reddy was known for his extensive padyatra across the state in 2003, which garnered significant public support. He tragically died in a helicopter crash on September 2, 2009, near Nallamala forest.
