Yabezi Kiiza was a notable Ugandan politician and civil engineer who served as the 13th Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Bunyoro from 2009 to 2012. He initially held the position of Deputy Prime Minister in 2007 before ascending to Prime Minister after the firing of his predecessor. Kiiza resigned in January 2012 due to health issues related to diabetes and high blood pressure. He passed away on 1 August 2016 at Masindi Kitara Medical Centre, aged 78, from complications associated with his health conditions.
