Yahya Alwan is an Iraqi football player and coach born in 1956 in Baghdad. He holds a Master's degree in Physical Education. Alwan began his coaching career as an assistant at Al-Student Club in 1984 and became the head coach in 1985. He has coached several clubs including Al-Salam, Al-Police, and Arbil, and also managed teams in Jordan, UAE, and Oman. He notably coached Iraq's Olympic team to a silver medal at the 2006 Doha Asian Games, discovering several young players for the Olympic squad.
