Yakov Stepanovich Nesterov (March 23, 1915 — May 8, 2006) was a Soviet scientist and fruit breeder. He held the title of Doctor of Agricultural Sciences and was a professor. Nesterov was a corresponding member of the V. I. Lenin All-Union Academy of Agricultural Sciences (VAShNIL). His work contributed significantly to agricultural science, particularly in the field of fruit cultivation, and he had a notable impact on Soviet horticulture.
