Yang Ming-jou is a Taiwanese independent politician born on October 13, 1956. He has been serving as the chairman of Taiwan Sugar Corporation since 2023. Prior to this role, he held various positions within the Kaohsiung City Government from 1984 until 2022. Notably, he was appointed as the acting mayor of Kaohsiung by the Executive Yuan following the dismissal of the previous city government cabinet led by Han Kuo-yu during the 2020 Kaohsiung mayoral recall vote.
