His brother, Yang Hu-seung, was an infielder for the Ssangbangwool Raiders and is currently the head of the scouting team for the NC Dinos in the KBO. His son, Yang Won-hyuk, is a former infielder for the LG Twins and is now serving as the Futures defensive coach for the same team.
