Yaroslav Iosseliani (1912–1978) was a Georgian Soviet Navy submarine commander who earned the title Hero of the Soviet Union. Born in Lakhiri, Georgia, he joined the Navy in 1934 and graduated from the Leningrad Naval School in 1938. Iosseliani served in the Black Sea Fleet, commanding submarines such as M-111 and the former HMS Ursula, renamed V-4. He sank several enemy vessels during his service and retired in 1966, later passing away in Tbilisi in 1978.
