Yaşar Bilgin, born on April 12, 1950, in Mersin, Turkey, is a German physician and politician specializing in cardiology. A CDU member since 2002, he also serves on the executive board of CDU Hessen. Bilgin co-founded and chairs the Turkish-German Health Foundation, a key Turkish advocacy group in Germany. Since 2015, he has led the Intercultural Medical Clinic at the University Hospital of Gießen and Marburg, providing care to notable patients, including former Turkish presidents Turgut Özal and Süleyman Demirel.
