Yasuomi Ōtomo (January 14, 1934 - January 16, 1995) was a Japanese picture book author and manga artist. His real name was Yoshiyasu Ōtomo. During his manga career, he used various pen names, including Yoshiyasu Ōtomo and Ootomo Yoshiyasu. As a picture book author, he went by Yasuomi Ōtomo and Ootomo Yasuomi. He is known for the 'Marichan' series from his shōjo manga era and the 'Nontan' series during his time as a picture book creator.
