Ye Jingliang is a Chinese military general and politician, born on February 16, 1951, in Yingshan, Hubei, China. He is a member of the Chinese Communist Party and graduated from the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. He served as the Director of the Equipment Department of the Armed Police Headquarters from November 1996 and became the Commander of the Shanxi Armed Police in May 2003. He was promoted to the rank of Major General in July 2003 and has been a National People's Congress representative since 2008, retiring from military service in May 2009.
