John Harold Goodwin Morris, nicknamed 'Yellowhorse', was an American Negro league pitcher who played from 1924 to 1930. Born in Little Rock, Arkansas, he debuted with the Kansas City Monarchs during their championship season. Morris later played for the Detroit Stars and Chicago American Giants. In 1946, he helped establish the West Coast Negro Baseball Association, and by 1949, he became a scout for the Chicago Cubs. He passed away in San Francisco in 1959 at the age of 57.
