She graduated high school with honors in 1996 and later studied at Moscow State University, focusing on journalism. During her career, she worked as a correspondent for the programs 'Events' on Stolica and TV Center, preparing about a thousand reports. Kovalenko was also a talented playwright and painter. Tragically, she died in a car accident on October 13, 2000, and is buried in Tarragona, Spain.
