Yevhen Obedinsky was a Ukrainian water polo player, born on October 12, 1983. He was a multiple-time champion of Ukraine, representing Illicziweć Mariupol, where he also served as captain of the national team. Tragically, he lost his life during the siege of Mariupol amidst the Russian invasion of Ukraine on March 17, 2022. He had three children, including his daughter Kira, who was injured and taken to Donetsk before being sent to her grandparents in Kyiv.
